Biographical Information:

Kim Bridger Wilbanks teaches kindergarten at University Heights Elementary School in Jonesboro. She believes that the essential ingredient in a successful school experience is the involvement of parents. Dr. Wilbanks has designed, implemented and expanded three different writing/reading programs at her school, and the skills she teaches her students successfully launch them into first grade. One of her expanded writing projects culminated in a "book fair" at which parents and guests read and reviewed books written by K-4 students. Dr. Wilbanks also designed the district's current kindergarten curriculum. She was named the Nettleton School District's Teacher of the Year for 1992.
